Breathwork + Art

For anyone carrying more than they have space to process—stress, burnout, transition, change, or the weight of caring for others.

Gentle held spaces to return to yourself, and reconnect with what matters.

A Space for You

When you spend long enough meeting everyone else’s expectations, your own needs become the thing you postpone. You keep going. You cope. And the longer it lasts, the harder it becomes to hear what you feel or what you need.

Then something makes it impossible to ignore. Exhaustion that does not lift, a burnout, a transition that changes what you expected of your life, a body and cycles that no longer follow the old rhythm, or years of carrying for others while your own life waits.

And sometimes, you simply want a moment that belongs to you.

This is a space for both. To set down what you have been carrying, or to take a moment that is only yours. Through breathwork and art, you can notice what is here, give it form, and come back to what matters to you.

You do not need to arrive with an answer or be good at art. I will hold a gentle, grounded space for you, at your own pace and on your own terms.

who's holding the space

Hi, I'm Sonia

I’m the founder of Space to Transcend.

For twenty years I was an executive in creative and communications roles, working with teams and communities around the world, in business and nonprofit settings. Training, coaching and mentoring were part of that world.

An overachiever in constant hustling. I burned out, deeply, so I could stop and listen to my body, questioning the pace, the expectations that had shaped my life, and how I saw myself. Breathwork and art became the practices through which I reconnected, and a real force of transformation.

I felt called to offer this to others. I am a certified trauma-informed breathwork facilitator (Breathing Space, GPBA-accredited). I hold a Postgraduate Diploma in Art Psychotherapy and Community Art (Metàfora) and I am an artist.

I bring my professional and life experience into the spaces I offer, but everybody’s experience is unique and my role is to hold the space for you to notice, explore and express it for yourself, on your own terms.

Breathwork & Embodied Reflection

Guided conscious breathing exercises to slow down, regulate the nervous system and come back to the body. Gently creating space for what needs to be felt and noticed.

Art as a creative self-care practice

Art-based exercises, grounded in art therapy principles, to help surface what that may be asking for attention, to give shape to what is hard to say with words alone.

Integration

Time to close the practice with care, so that what has emerged and been sensed and expressed, can begin to find its place in your body, your inner life, and the way you move through the world.
